Hey Scott,

So where did you get this guy? Does it taper from the shoulders to the base? What is the diameter of the base?

Does it appear to be blown or core formed? Is it very thick walled?

Looks like a Roman handled sprinkler, 1st-4th Century AD to me, and that's with considerable guestimation...

I found this in a non-ebay online selling site, so will need to ping the seller to see if they have any other information on this item.

There does not appear to be a noticeable taper from the Shoulders to the Base.

The diameter of the Base is about 1 3/4 inches at the widest.

I don't know enough to really call out whether is is blown or core formed, but when I hold this up to the light most of the bubbles in the glass are spheres from about the halfway mark down on the bottle, and then you start to get the stretched out bubbles and spherical bubbles as well from the half way mark up.

The walls do seem to be o the thicker side of things, and I neglected to state this is also 5 sided as well.

Thanks again for everyone's help with this!
