My friend found this bottle a few days ago in a construction site. I told him it's probably from 1935 or 1945 since it has the 5 on the right side of the OI logo. Anyone know which of these dates is the more likely candidate and what this bottle may have been used for?
It has no markings or embossing other than the company logo on the bottom. It can't be alcoholic since prohibition would have been in effect in 1935 and it has no "federal law prohibits the reuse of this bottle" written on it which would have been required after prohibition. So maybe some sort of juice bottle?
