Hi all!
Hope you're all ready for a great New Year! I have to say going out of 2011 has been a great thing for me... A good friend of mine has had a bottle i've admired ever since I first seen it. A Lawrences Indian Pain Killer from St. Louis, Mo. It's believed to be the only example known of this bottle. We've researched it with no luck, and talking with several other pontiled med collectors, none of them have seen or heard of another. Theo does have a Dr. Lawrences bottle that we believe is the same person.
This guys got a nasty and wicked open pontil, crude textured glass and is just a great bottle that I am sure proud to own. The pontil has a big chunck of glass protruding off of it causing it not to even stand up straight! I was only able to get it in a trade because I had a few things that my friend was interested in, and we were able to make a deal. Anyhow I wanted to show it to you, and hope you enjoy the photos. It was getting a little dark out when I took them.
I figured i'd send a couple pics to Mike Smith as he collects Indian bottles with a nice website, and don't believe he is aware of this example.
All the best,
~Tim
