Primitive tool -anchor - weight? any ideas?

Interesting that the rock kind-of resembles a milk bottle??

You're right, though. Why would somebody put that much craftmanship into an anchor? But it sure seems like that would be its function.

Here's a crazy idea. Maybe it was the bottom of a torch stand or something. The rock was meant to stabilize the stand so that the torch (above) wouldn't fall and burn anything???

Viking anchor! It's gotta be an anchor, I think you have something important and valuable there Bram... If not just a primitive... There are some hardcore anchor collectors out there too!
