Only found 1 good Medicine bottle. Has a chip in lip but nice otherwise. Sez Established 1865 on bottle which is probably about the date of this hole? LEON.

When I did a search in here on the Newman's Bitters bottle nothing came up. Nothing came up on ebay. Do a search on a Drakes Plantation bitters on ebay ect & tons of stuff come up. $500 for a Drakes & they seem pretty common. much more common then this Newman's? LEON.

Nice finds! Was the druggist bottle in the same layer as the pontils? Because that one doesn't look anywhere near 1865, looks more like an 1890's bottle.

NO, It was higher up, not at the bottom. Maybe 2 feet above bottom or pontil layer. I hit a old bottle the first 1 inch into the hole, right at the top. It was a screw cap Mellins food jar. Tom said it was a baby food jar. it was probably early 1900's I'd guess. Far from Pontils. LEON.

Very nice finds. I love the Dimick's hair bottle. Most unfortunate that the Bitters didn't survive. That's the first example I've ever seen, broken or whole.
