Hey all, I go to tons of flea markets and yard sales looking for bottles, often I won't purchase one unless it's a brand I recognize. Is this a bad collecting strategy as far as selling a small amount of bottles?

Thanks for your input

You mean re-selling? If your looking for better bottles buying brands you recognize isn't the best strategy, unless it happens to be a rare variation. Go for bottles you've never heard of,just dont pay too much cause they still might be dirt common and you've just never heard of them, but theres a better chance they're not.

I'm not sure I understand your question.

Are you interested in collecting? Or selling?

If collecting, sure, collect what you like and what you feel comfortable buying.

I assume you mean buying bottles for resale.
As with anything you are taking a risk buying items you dont know about.
The only way to mitigate that risk is only buy bottles that are cheap.
Problem is the most common well known bottles are typically the least valuable.
The more valuable bottles are ones you probably never heard of.
I would recommend learning how to date and identify bottles first.
Also get some decent price guides (they arent typically going to tell you want to pay but will let you know whats common and whats rare).

I do not mean to be mean or over critical but I am amazed at how little effort newbies give to stating their questions. Folks, re-read and correct your posts. It's your best chance at us helping you.
