I'm posting this for a fellow digger.I think she said it was 7 1/4" tall. I just lost everything due to a computer crash. She would like to know what was in it.
Aprox. year etc. It's really more purple than the photo shows. I like it myself.

Maybe olives or capers, capers bottles are normaly green but a very similar shape to that one.
If you do a search of this site you will find out all you need to know about capers plus some [:D] .

Looks like it was once a clear bottle and is now Sun Glass, probally prior to 1914, and turns color due to maganese in the glass batch. Maganese was added to clear the glass of normal colors, but when it gets into sun it turnes purple. The more maganese and lenght of time in sun the darker it can go.
