Are all poisons that say "Not To be Taken" English or Canadian? I dug one - amber, vertical lines, screw cap - recently at a site where I've dug a fair number of poisons, but havn't been able to find out anything about it. Thanks.
Most of the Not To Be Taken poisons are English or Australian. There are a few rare American pharmacist poisons with Not To Be Taken, but all are cork-top and include a pharmacy or druggist's name. Some of the NTBT bottles were imported from overseas. I have seen them dug here once in a while. The amber screw-tops seem to be mostly Australian, but some are English or maybe even Canadian. ~Jim
Hi everybody, ther are 2 amber US made hex NTBT ribbed screw caps,1 made by Owens glass and 1 made by Hocking, only reason im so sure is i have both. If you want a picture of what i have to compare i will post one, thanks. Jim got 2 sizes mint vapos in blue, interest?????
Hi Rick, I never knew some of the amber hex NTBT screw caps were American. I think I know the ones you mean, I always thought they were Australian or Canadian. With the Owens or Anchor mark, they are definitely US. I had never actually seen one to check out the base markings.
Yes, I would definitely be interested in the blue Vapos. I will send you a PM right away. Thanks for the help in locating them! ~Jim
