RC cola

[Trying not to break it]

hi everyone, this is the 1st rc cola we dug. label is not good, but glass is in good cond. has good house keeping seal on back. around the bottom it has "property of nehi bottling co." looking for a date on this one. can anyone tell be what time span "property of" was used on soda bottles. thanks for any information, rhona

Would've been a nice one if the paint wasn't ruined. You don't see very many with the RC embossed at the top like that. Not sure of the age, should be on the bottom.

hi robert, the bottom has an owens - illinois symbol with a 7 to the right, so it could be 1937 or 1947. do you know if the colors where red and white. hard to tell with this label thanks for looking and info, now i want to go look for another one. rhona

i had a similar bottle at one time. the colors were red and yellow and it dated from the 30's

HI I would say it would be pre 1936. They didn't always have the date on the bottom, sometimes just a code. What you are looking at on the label is pyramids. The label was yellow and red with royal crown cola in white.
