I'm at work so I don't have access to my books right now. If your interested in selling it I would be interested. I collect N. Cal blob top and hutch soda's among other things and I don't have that one. I'll tell you what it's listed at when I get home unless someone else does first. Nice looking hutch!

Markota's book lists the soda as circa 1901 - 1907 and the estimated value at $50 - 75. It's a hutch you don't see very often

Thank you both!
I couldn't find any info on the bottle.Of course I only have 1 western blob/whiskey book.
I am not sure if I want to sell it.Let me think on it.Happy to entertain any offers.

Perhaps you would trade for another California soda of equal value? I have lot's of hutches and blob tops. What city are you in, maybe I have a local one for you? What kinds of bottles do you generally collect? By the way, has anyone welcomed you to our forum yet? Welcome!

There are also hutches embossed "Somps & Herve" and "Herve & Somps". I have dug all three types in one Hunter's Point pit. Somps and Herve were partners in various soda water bottling ventures, beginning in 1890 and dissolving in 1897. These also come in the blob top type bottle. The series makes a nice collection.

Hey Wilkie and CALDGR2!
I am in Sausalito. The sodas in our town were Mason and also Whistle. The Mason family had a chance to buy a Pepsi-Cola distribution area and didn't!(bad decision). So they got the Whistle (orange) Soda instead.I have a perfect specimen and 2 other bottles. In fact I am in touch with the son of the Mason owner.Wilkie, I see you are Navy retired.Where were you stationed Mare Island? My Dad was out of Alameda.
Thanks for the welcome.and I will drop you a note about bottles.Still looking for a Sausalito Drug Co.
