Sad News

I just heard that John 'Digger' Odell has passed away. He did a lot for bottle collecting and wrote several great reference books. I met him at a bottle show a few years ago. A great guy. Here is a little info:

I just heard that too, that's a shame and he will be missed. I met him at some shows and he was a truly very nice guy. He did some great things for the hobby as well as some nice informative publications.

I am shocked and sad to hear of his passing. We meet him at a show years ago and saw him several times after that. He always was full of energy and a great guy to talk to .
He made a lot of contributions to the bottle world. I think we have 5 of his price guides.
Our prayers go out to his family.

Dang it. One the the...no, the worst thing about getting old is seeing friends, collegues and old pals pass. His vast knowledge can't be replaced even though we have his books to remind us how deep it was. Bless him.

he died of lung cancer... all you kids who smoke, stop while you can. (dont know if odell smoked)
