Off topic again ... but speaking of California, ( you heard it here first) at 9:26 PM PT (Which was about ten minutes ago) we had a HUGE earthquake @ 5.9 ! It was centered in Ocotillo, CA., which is about ten miles down into the desert from the "Tower" I spoke of earlier. Still getting aftershocks right now! I'll keep you posted.

The attached map shows the main quake (downgraded to a 5.7) and the aftershock activity during the past half hour. The red on red ones are current aftershocks stacked on top of each other, which total at least a dozen of them, and vary from 3.0 to the 5.7! Aftershocks continue as I write this. Scary stuff! I live real close to the city of El Cajon seen on the left side.

This will be my last earthquake report tonight unless something substantial occurs worth posting. And just for those who are not all that familiar with quakes, a 5.7 that is centered about 50 miles away like the one tonight, feels just as strong as the 7.2 like the one last Easter Sunday (April 12th) which was centered about 150 miles away. The one tonight lasted a good 15 seconds, causing the entire house to sway back and forth like a freight train going down the tracks. Plus it was accompanied by a rumbling sound that is hard to describe. All in all, not fun ... my adrenaline is still pumping! []
