I attended the Ballston Spa , Saratoga bottle show today. I went looking for a flask but the one I wanted wasn't in my price range. I ended up with a nice mineral water that was bottled a few miles from where I live. I also purchased a open pontil Dr.Mc Munn's opuim bottle. I think I have another one like it but got a good deal and its mint. Show wasn't as big this year. Its usually held in June. I was wondering if another show might have conflicted with it.

HELLO JustGlass; I like that Saratoga type btl from VT. I have bid on a couple of them but they always seem to go too high. Good selection. RED Matthews

Hey Just Glass, I think I sold you that McMunn's today. That was fast posting! Yea the show was at least 1/3 smaller with alot of New England dealers going to the Coventry show instead. (I would too if a show was alot closer with the price of gas these days). I (hope and) think that the Saratoga show will rebound next year if they can get a decent venue on a date that doesn't conflict with another show. Saratoga is one show where I both buy and sell very well and it is the only one my wife travels with me to, since it is such a great, fun town!

Hi everyone, Thought I would chime in on the Saratoga Show yesterday, and show two new additions to my collection. I would have to agree the Show was much smaller then usuall. There was a nice selection of Bottles to be had, from 2 dollar dug bottles, to an extremely rare Round Lake Mineral Water, at $6200. The first I have had the pleasure to see. My digging partner and I had a table, and both sold a few bottles. Getting in on the Dealer set-up, is always nice, as most of my purchases came before the show opened to the public. Picked up a few for re-sale, that seemed under priced, and got two for the shelf. I did a trade with Forum member, Cookie for this killer pint Hanbury Smith with an applied tapered lip. He came over to see my collection a few weeks ago, and saw my run of Half Pint Hanbury Smith Water Bottles, and we ended up doing a trade. Its a killer example, and fits in nicely. Thanks John.

The other one I got is this nice deep green Half Pint Beer from Albany NY. its a G. W. HOXSIE'S / PREMIUM / BEER. I love these Half Pints, and have about 20 different ones now. Most are Mineral Waters, but a few are Beers. This is one of the deepest green ones I have seen in this beer, and I got a good price on it from a freind in the Albany Bottle Club. I was eyeballing a couple open pontil Colognes, but the one I liked with a Lion on it was a little pricey right now. I have most of the commen Colognes, and now their getting tougher to find in Mint condition which is the only way I will add one to my collection. Maybe by the next Show I can swing one.
