Great pictures and the informational descriptions make it very interesting When I was 12 to 16 I played a lot of marbles and had jugs full of them. I never did know what my Mom did with them. I have a wooden box with some stone or ceramic ones that my Grandfather had as a kid. I have some others in a box. And I also have one that my daughter Connie, made for me that has the pontil mark partially worked off. I just never got into making a study of them - Thank you again. RED Matthews

Glad to show and tell Red. I'm just glad folks like to see this stuff. M.F. Christensen are true Transitional marbles in that they are Handgathered the old way , but were rounded on a roller type machine that made them perfectly round smoothing out the shear mark. This gave them an advantage over the German made marbles.

I am not a collector of marbles but the color of yours are sure are amazing. I have only found only 1 on a dig, it is solid emerald green color.

Here is the 1" Slag you saw in my last pic. This is an Akro Slag and they made them with glass containing uranium. Akro made Ade marbles that glow in blacklight as well.
