As race weekend in the Tri-Cities area continued, I became more and more restless, so I decided to head to Wytheville, VA just to be away from the madness. I found a few items of interest. The best catch of the day was three bottles I picked up from a booth that had everything marked 70% off. They were a repro cobalt EG Booze for about two bucks, an Orange crush bottling company of Greensboro, NC beverage bottle for about thirty cents, and a Hires Root Beer extract for about fifty cents. Not too bad really. Then I found a 1940 Pop Cola from Rice's Bottling Company of Roanoke, VA for $3.50 and a Washington County Bottling Corp'n deco bottle at another booth. Not too bad a day, and I was able to escape the insanity that is race weekend for a while.
