I bought a few bottles grouped together at the thrift store.

I have identified 2.
One is an old hair oil bottle and the other is an old lotion bottle.

I believe them to all be beauty products.

The one In asking about had a diamond shape design on one side and is smooth on the other, where I'm guessing the label once sat.

Anyone have an idea on what the bottle was for?

Well, I can tell you what it PROBABLY is but these generic mid 20th century bottles came and went without much notice unless one used the product. I'm 76 and have collected bottles for 50 of those years and do not recognize that bottle. From its shape it was not a thin, watery liquid but not thick either, possibly a creamy substance. It's too fancy for food so probably cosmetic. Hand Cream? Date would likely be 1950 - 70. Value to a collector? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I don't think it's ugly but I'm not interested. Unlike women, I like my bottles old and gnarly. Jim
