Welcome to the forum About the white discs I've found some to when i went digging and whatnot but i think they are from mason jars because i found one in an old mason jar lid so maybe they helped seal the jar I've also found them with a rubber ring around them so they would keep all the contents from spoiling

Yeah, they're on the inside of Mason jar lids, and when the zinc corrodes, the white glass is all that remains.
