I have had my hands on quite a few of these Squirt bottles over the years , But I do not recall ever seeing a slogan on any of them in my area , being Ohio .
That's exactly the kind of stuff I have been looking for. Your 1941 Kingsport, Tenn. bottle is as shiney as a new penny! I bet most dealers and non-collectors wouldn't even notice the different fonts ... thus making the earlier bottles an easy grab for just a few bucks. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for the differences. I'm happy with my sign being anywhere in the 1940s ... and may even be able to narrow it down a little closer with some additional research. Do you have any thoughts on the slogan ... "Straight or Mixed" ?
I'm no expert on vintage signs, but I am "almost certain" it's porcelain. It has the look and feel like it is creamy and baked on. Plus it's heavier than it appears. Not that this dates it, but it does make it just that much more interesting to me. []

P.S. ~ Wait until you see my next thread (possibly tomorrow) that I'm calling ...
The 1940s squirt bottles from Baltimore are rare and i have two ive dug up but sadly the ACL is gone; squirt bottles don't really hold up in the ground very well. Squirt is a pretty good drink too; we have it at some local stores up here.
