That's what we thought too, but looking more closely at the rail it doesn't have the right profile although it could have had something to do with the mining industry - this was a very busy mining area from the 1870's right through to the 1950's - iron ore, gold, silver, etc

So I went out to remove some trees & brush Tuesday, and of course a bit of ash digging, opened up the face a bit.

Found some common goodies, 3 cobalt poisons, a Rico Nurser, a Whistle soda, a nice little flask that might of held 3oz.

Always liked those flasks, I'd move ash for about 2 hours and decided to quit, but you know what its like, just another bit of a scratch,

Well it paid off, in the limestone there are all kinds of cracks, big & small, in a big one a bottle base was sticking out, I figured it had to be broken.

I crawled in under the bank and just as I got hold ...cave-in, but I held on crawled out and I had a honey brown bottle.

I cleaned it off and it was embossed, turned out to be a SCHWEPPES blob top in great condition.

Thanks Mad, yes its being awhile, I've mostly being consentrating on my art.

But with this new dump find I'm getting back into the digging and finding.

I'm sure we'll have more finds and pics over the summer.
