This is what we got this year and it shut us down for a couple days. I know it seems like we are winter wimps but we do not even have road salt.. My son works part time at Lowes and he said they were putting out water softener salt on the side walk. Even the hot water lines in the house froze! The house is 130 years old and was built to keep folks cool in the summer..not warm. Last year we had no freezes this year it has been at least a dozen and some down to 16 degrees. I think there will be a lot of plants that do not reappear next year. My citrus trees look like they are goners. When ever I want to whine about the cold I think of my friends up in Wisconsin.

God Bless Plumbers! So far it has been outside PVC that I could fix. I was afraid that, once the copper pipes thawed, I was going to have to find a good plumber and fast. I would have no clue where to start!
