Well Leon; I liked the glass you have sh9wn us. I would like more information on the dark blue one, where you called it a three piece mold. Does the glass show three mold seams? The bottom shown is also interesting. I would like to study that one. Please check out my home page and check back with me. RED Matthews email <bottlemysteries@yahoo,com>

Where you talking to me or another Leon?

Red, were you talking to me? If so, is this the bottle you were asking about?

Ok now I went to your acknowledgement of my inquiry about the three part molding. I could see the two part shoulder mold sections. So the base was tapered? Or not? I am really checking and looking for some bottles that were dip molded and with applied glass and tooled finishes. And especially when there is an applied handle. I am also working on a blog of applied handles and tooling on other glass. RED M.

Yes, it it slightly tapered. The base edges are very thin too. Matter of fact the bottom is uneven and when you set it down, the bottle will rock 7-8 times before finally coming to rest.

Nice finds! Unfortunately I am to old to dig any more. I am trying to get together a blog covering applied handles and another covering turn molded (or paste molded) early glass bottles with applied and tooled finishes. Especially blob (or half round) applied finishes. My interest has always been mainly how the early glass makers did what they did to make all kinds of things our of glass - and I mean hand made - not ABM - because I spent about 33 years in that world. RED Matthews Have you been to my homepage? I guess they removed how it always was shown below my postings. I will have to check with the 'Forum operations' to see what happened. RED M
