I recently picked up these two bottles. One from Houston and one from Galveston. I am theorizing (sounds better then guessing) that these were either creamers, or maybe used to serve something like an aperitif.

Can anyone confirm or guess with me?

Does anyone have something similar? From Texas or elsewhere?

I ran into some interesting history researching the Rice Hotel. It opened in 1913 and is tied to the university. It's worth googling the founder of Rice. Money, Murder & Scandal.

These are super cool. There is one of these from the Roosevelt in New Orleans, but it is baked enamel instead of embossed so may be a bit later.
