Some of the Mr Colas are scarce especially the ones from the small Miss towns. I have never sold one for under $10 as good ones are fairly hard to get. The small one in 10 oz comes like the larger one in Aqua and Clear. Larger city MR Colas are like most larger city bottles fairly common. As far as ugly I don't think they are really ugly with the large Old English letting Plain might be better suited for them. But most one color no pic type are that Plain. They date mainly from the late 60's into the early 70's era. I have a couple of each size and color as well as some error bottles. Watch out for the error ones where they did not line up the neck and front labels . The neck label will be on the sides. I sold one last year for $65 to a error bottle collector.

Digger ~

Thanks ... I'm convinced now that my ugly plain bottle isn't so ugly afterall. So how much is my Camden, Arkansas "Mr. Cola" worth anyway? If you tell me more than a dollar I will be a happy camper and even take it out of my shed and bring it back into the house. [:)]

So now that that's settled ... let's see what you guys call a truly ugly bottle!

Gracias Amigos ...

Thanks. That makes one person (namely you) who thinks this thread has potential. As for myself ... well, I'll have to wait and see what develops this evening. It's just barely 4:pm here in the west and I guess anything is possible. I haven't seen your name before, and was even going to welcome you to the forum. But now I see where you've been around awhile. And if you like funny stuff we can start with that profile name of yours. Now "that's" what I call funny! I just hope it's not your last name or something important like that. I certainly wouldn't want to insult you. Plus I have no doubt that someone is going to yell at me for getting off-topic by posting the following photo. But I just thought you might like to see what a truly ugly "mug" looks like. It's me in 1973 when I was 21 years old. And believe it or not I was an avid bottle hunter at the time. Not far from where the photo was taken is an old-old dump I used to dig in ... and still do on ocassion. But I've pretty much cleaned it out over the years. Anyway, now you have some idea why I'm so weird and where my roots run. However, I outgrew all that Hippie stuff many moons ago ... but still consider myself somewhat of a nature boy. At least I'm not allergic to poison oak, which would shut me down in a heart beat if I was. And speaking of "shutting down," it's time to go and scrounge around the shed again to see what else I can dig up. (Just kiddin' ya about your name ... I actually like it, (sort of). [:D]

Later,

SPB

JayBeck ~

I love it! It reminds me of that 1950s movie "The Bad Seed." (The one where the little girl drowned her classmate just to get his spelling-bee metal). Geez ... I'm sure glad I know how to spalle! [:D]

Thanks ... so far your creepy girl gets my vote!

Kid ~

Here's one I have been meaning to ask you (since I know you are one of those brainy guys) ... it's from another thread I posted earlier. What is 1/10 of 1% of 12 ounces? Please let me know when you have the answer. Thanks.

I'm not going to pull it out of deep storage, but the first bottle I thought of was a "Mays" bottle. Ugly color, ugly script, ugly bottle. I agree the "Mr" bottle is ugly, another one that is similar is the white letter "Sunburst" bottle. Similar script, once again one I'm not gonna dig out of storage. Of course any of these look better if they are local to your area!
