This is another of my children Parker's Hair Balsam New York. It's been cleaned up a little better since the picture

Nice amber color huh? If your gonna keep it, apply some Pam spray oil or veggie oil to it...makes the stain go away. For awhile but it will come back. That stain is an awful thing huh. Nice finds.

Another thing that you can put on the piece is acrylic floor finish. It is used for lanolium( spelling?) floors, as a sort of wax type thing. I use a product called "Future". I have used it on a few different pieces, and it works very well. It has lasted a long time on some pieces so far, as in about 2 years, and still is nice and shiny. If you want more info on it, shoot me an email.

I bought an old Chase & Co. blob top soda years ago that had something like this coating it, but it had started to peel here and there.

I forget what I used to take the stuff off the bottle (acetone?), but I got all the coating off and surprisingly the bottle wasn't in all that bad a shape, and in this particular case looked better without the coating.
