Ran across this for sale on ebay.

I've never seen a bottle shaped like this. Seller says it could be a battery holder. Any ideas what this was?

Interesting. At first glance it appears similar to battery jars, although quite small.
Otto is a familiar name in medicines, not sure if it is the same otto, i'll look into it some.

Definately a battery.
Otto also made disc record players that apparently could be battery powered so it could have been used for one of those.

If you look at this photo I think you can see the tops of two of those battery jars in the back of this box. THey have caps and connections on them.
