That's a really odd "thing", I presume it's made of milk glass ? What's it look like on the underside ?

For some reason I remember seeing a post on something like this a long time ago. Or I saw it on Ebay maybe both. I want to say that it is the lid to a mustard container or some kind of condiment. The smart people of this forum will surely know what it is. What ever it is it is nice and probably milk glass.

hey all found piece of one like that looks like it has gun turets on both ends some kind of dish top id say ty all bill

Could be a sort of candy container lid.[8|] I know of some candy containers that was very figural from turn of century. Cool fine whatever it is. Petty

It's a candy dish...Find the base which is embossed "Remember The Maine."
Came in clear & milk glass.

You are going to have to go back and dig up the bottom bit C.M. [:D] .

Looks more like the "Cruiser Battleship Oregon" covered dish, c. 1900.
