Try Me Cola bottle after 1900s from Birmingham Ala

In 1980s I dug up a Try Me cola bottle from a garbage pile behind Meadows Mill on Lee Road in Salem Alabama. This bottle was a 9 oz bottle and I have not seen a 9 oz size listed before. No dates on bottle but 3 397 engraved at bottom front and 6L G W2 on back. Knew the value wasn't much, but I find these rare bottles fascinating.

The 9 oz size isn't rare, but still a cool find. Did you find anything else at the same spot?

The deco type of Try-Me bottle design was patented in April 1924. In some areas, the 10 oz size is more common and in other areas, the 9 oz size is more common. Perhaps your bottle is not a pure deco type, and is an ACL (applied color label) type of Try-Me instead.The 6 LGW 2 means Laurens Glass Works is the manufacturer of the bottle and it (or at least its mold) was made in 1962. This date means it's likely to be an ACL bottle.
