I know that this bottle is solarized glass, and was manufactured by J.T. & A. Hamilton Company some time between 1900 and 1943. I'm trying to figure out what it possibly was used for. It has a metal cap that is fixed to the bottle, but has a screw-on cap that looks like it has a pin hole with a piece of metal in it? Sorry, I'm new at this so don't know how to post pictures with words. Thank you for your help.

My first thought was yes, barber's bottle, maybe for Bay Rum; nothing fancy but utilitarian. I think I remember the bottle from my small-town barber, Joe when I was a little kid. Have you tried to remove the cap?
