Trying not to break it

hi everyone, got to dig for an hour today. spent most of my tiime trying to chop thru a 5" layer of 1/2 burnt shingles on top of a piece of metal[8D]. at least of was digging. found a little jar embossed on base PAD-L-JAR, P&H Chicago, asorbone bottle, and a beer with label arrow beer, baltimore. like the foil label so i carried it home. it was older then i thought, owens- illinois 1947 on base. needs more cleaning yet. thanks for looking, rhona
