Two From the Bay

These are two of the best buys Ive got on ebay in a while. These bottles were sold together in one auction. Both bottles are B. Fosgates Anodyne Cordials. One rolled lip open pontil and a flat top snap case. Im not sure where these bottles were made, what anodyne is or what this medicine was used for. I will have to do web search when I get around to it. Both have a embossed line that extends around bottle a little bit below the neck. Does anyone know if this was a measuring or fill line or is it part of the making of the bottle?

Those are a nice pair, congrats!! "anodyne" is a synonym for "analgesic"..a very generic term for pain killer.
