I recently bought this Gem Balsam bottle at an antique shop for 5$ American. It has never been opened (which means it's full), because it has the rubber seal still on it. It has the label on it. It says Gem Balsam. The date given is June 30, 1906. It is priced 10 cents.

Hi, when you see that date it's the date of new laws by the Pure Food and Drug Act. It can be later than that. I'm not familiar with the product.

I have one of these too. It came with directions and it's a Providence, RI company.

Thanks to you both. My husband was very ill for 6 mos, finally had his surgery and is now much better. Hopefully I will be able to participate more as well as get on with my bottle hobby. Looking forward to it!
