I found this one a while ago, I had originally placed it in with a group of 1800's salad oil bottles (some of which were found near this one), but now I'm not so sure. My wife reckons perhaps it orignally contained candy, but I think the top is too thin. Perhaps vinegar?

I would guess it's age to be late 1890's; it's shape is fairly regular, not much drooping; it's lip is tooled. It has no base marking and isn't pontiled (but in Australia and England we didn't use pontils as late as I believe the USA used 'em).

Any ideas?

Hey Warith, my guess would be a beehive pepper sauce. Just a guess though. I would guess 1880's-1890's. Happy Diggin, Kelley

it does look similar to "http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6186583789", and I've seen some "hot" sauce bottles from 1880's Australia, so I guess that's what it is! I reckon it's a very old example (far older than the ones on Ebay or that I could find on web sites). Neat! Chillies are my favourite fruit even!
