I have an unopened bottle of Cherry Heering. I'm just curious what year it's from. It's got a Michigan liquor control commission sticker on it...looks pretty old. Is there any way I can do a search for the serial number on it? Also, it says on the glass part of the bottle, "Federal law forbids sale of re-use of this bottle". I googled Peter F. Heering (the producer) and Schenley import corporation, and didn't get much more info than was already listed on the bottle, except that this one in particular has a higher proof than what is currently being made.
It's a 3/4 pint, brown, sealed bottle.
Hope someone has some info for me.
Thanks:)

Hi Noreen, Liquor bottles with the "Federal Law Forbids.." embossing date between 1933 and 1964. I have never seen your particular bottle, but that is the date range on them. ~Jim

Unless you can track the tax stanp # you may not get any closer than the 1934-65 range for "federal law..." stuff
