Thanks a lot everybody! I got this in with a small lot of bottles on eBay, for $8.00 for the lot, I couldn`t pass it up! It`s nice and crude, it`ll look good on my windowsill.

You got it. I have some some where. But the only insulators that I keep looking are the tapered core ones with out threads, and the ones that were pressed that had the pressing plunger assembly that required he center core of the plunger screw fed by hand through the plunger. I am most interested in the mechanical gimmicks that were used to get the job done. I also would like to get two or three solid poured insulators, where the hot glass was put it i to heat up the mold metal. In fact I like solid bottles and jars also. The thing that limits those items is usually the cost wanted for them. RED Matthews
