Uranium glass is safe to handle, just don't put it near your mouth.

Depending on the uranium glass peice. some can be super hot and actually can be dangerous if exposed to for a long period of time. Most uranium glass poses a small risk to handle and is relatively safe to use, but I don't think using it as jewelry is all that safe

Completely safe however, grinding it, cutting it, and shaping it into pieces for use in jewelry definitely exposes some risk of possibly ingesting particles. Have lots of green depression glass in my collection and it is perfectly safe to eat off of and drink from.
