The East TN Antique Bottle & Collectibles Show planned for June, 2008, has been cancelled.

It was a difficult decision.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause collectors, but we look forward to welcoming you in 2009.

wonder why it was cancelled? i had saved my money since last show and was looking forward to the show. later greg

Greg,

It was a difficult decision, and we actually waited past our original deadline to make the call. Several things were major factors:
[ul][*]the slipping economy[*]anticipated cost of gas[*]Interstate 40 closure through downtown Knoxville for a year (meaning people would have to go out of their way to find us)[*]slowdown in antique mall and flea market sales in our region for several months[*]lack of enough table reservations by dealers to meet our costs[*]inability to find a venue suitable for a show within our limiited budget[/ul]We are looking forward to a couple of members-only swap meets this summer. One is June, and the other is August. Why not join our club and join us at these events?
