I've been told that those bottles were used around the turn of the century all the way up through WWII. I have a small collection of USN bottles, maybe 10 all together. I don't think I have the 25 cc but I do have 100, 200 and 500 cc's, plus one that might be considered a jar because of the wide mouth.
It wouldnt surprise me if they were used until WWII but the blown, hand tooled bottles themselves were probably made before then. if you know how the govt supply system works you know stuff stays in there forever sometimes. The aqua ones seem to be the more early/rare ones.
Thank you, Jerry.. I thought there'd be a better fight over this one! Anyhow, since it's for the forum, might as well do it right.. I'll donate $15... []
