I have a question:
I have an old George Eagle soda and I've been told it's extremely rare. It's in very, very fine condition.
I was here last year and thought of selling it. I was advised to contact the major auction houses. Well I did but I was nervous about sending it off and only fetching a crappy price. So at that time I decided to sit on it.
Also, one of the auction houses had told me in an email that it might bring $1,400. But prior to that I had attended a local bottle show in Ballston Spa, NY, and another big mucky muck in the bottle auction business actually looked at the bottle in person and told me if I hung onto it and the economy came back around I might get anywhere from $4,000 to $7,000 for it. That's another reason the $1,400 idea didn't sound very hot to me.
I think you can see all prior discussions and other photos of the bottle here by searching for "George Eagle."
Now my question: Notwithstanding the current crappy economy, does anybody think I could get like $2,000 for it ?
Thanks and regards.
