I was walking today when I saw a glint of something on the ground out the front of the local cemetery next to the road. I had a bit of a dig and found a bottle. I will get a picture up when I find my camera. It's about 29.5 cm tall with a hexagonal base and flat sides which round off a bit over halfway. On one side there is some writing;

THIS BOTTLE IS THE PROPERTY OF
VICTORIA CROSS MANUFACTURING CO
BRISBANE QUEENSLAND

I couldn't find much information about the company other than when it was started (around 1900).

Sounds like an interesting bottle... I look forward to a pic. Usually, bottles embossed with "property of.." or "this bottle not to be sold" etc. were used for beer or soda, sometimes gin or other spirits.. but being from down under, who knows![]
