I picked this bottle up a few weeks ago. No idea if it is pre-1900 or not. The bottle makes me think so. The paper label? Not so much. But I thought a few of you might help me sort this out.

Label reads: "Vine Growers Company of Cognac, Jule Duret, Manager, Old Brandy"

Any help?

Might be a Prohibition (illegal) import. The label sounds sooo generic. French chateaux were mighty proud of their brands, particularly so of their regional brands (cognac from Cognac, France).
