Here's a couple of BEAUTIFUL Key West bottles.

"The DT Sweeny is the only true colored lightning type stopper from Florida that I know of. Although rare it comes in a shade of green and a shade of yellow. The DT Sweeny in this photo is featured in Larry Smiths book â€Treasures in the Sunâ€. A book on Key West sodas."

"Attached is a ½ pint Osceola Exchange Tavares, Fla. and a pint TJ Taylor Monticello, Fla. The TJ Taylor was found in a private lake in the mid 1970’s and I acquired the Tavares from a good friend from Tallahassee. He told me the flask was found near the St. Johns river in the 1970’s. Both of these flasks are not something that turns up every day."

"Here are two of my favorites because they are both floating marble type closures. The W.E Booker is a Roorbach patent (embossed around the base) and the Apalachicola Bottling Works is believed to be a Stewart patent but the base is not embossed. The WE Booker has the original floating marble and part of the gasket."

"Based on my experience, I believe the Wilcox Saloon flask was a promotional item maybe a Christmas gift for customers. A fire started in the saloon in late 1886 and burned a substantial amount of the fledging community’s commercial area. Fewer than ½ dozen of these have turned up and at least ½ of those are damaged. Madison is a town that has several liquor dealers and was located in an area that did a large amount of timber and naval stores business for years. Drew had several partners as did Sanders. This Drew & Sanders pint is one of the rarer flasks from Madison (any one of the Madison flasks are scarce)."

"Here is the back side of the Magnolia Soda Water Works. Geo Emery was in Jacksonville circa the civil war era. He sold cigars sundries and evidently soda water to tourist. We dug this bottle in Tallahassee Florida in 1973 or 1974. I believe this bottle was made by Alexander & David H. Chambers glass company in Pittsburgh PA based on other bottles that have similar shapes and are embossed A&DHC. I can’t be sure."

Nice bottles! The problem with your pictures is that they're too large. Open them in Paint, click "Resize", make it 20%, then save the picture. As long as it's under 200KB, you should be good. Otherwise, crop the picture to eliminate some of the background. I'm sure you'll figure it out, then it'll become second nature to you.
