The top looks aluminum. If it is, it's likely post-1960. If it looks like this or this, it's 1960s+. If it looks like this, early 1960s or before. Where did you find it, exactly? In the ground, in a muddy bank?
The plant I work at is army core from the thirties it's stamped on the wall there I just decided to look under an old building and seen it. There has been several bottles found there
Bear, I never find a good can, lol, danny's is 10 times better than our beer can finds. The humidity is over 90 percent , two thirds of the year and the cans are nearly 90% rust! I lease an old farm for hunting, and walk thru areas, were the old owners lived. No houses now, but I use a 1950's aerial view map to pinpoint the old shacks. The bluff to the creek bottom has 1920's to 1970's trash between and behind all the old home places! No garbage pickup back then, so I do it now. Bear, just realized you were addressing Danny, thanks!
Creek Walker, one of my first cans looked brand new and popped out of a muddy creek bank. It was there since the '60s. Yet you've seen my cans from this year, and they all look pretty much totally gone. They're sitting in the garage until I find time to get the needed materials to see what I can do.Eventually, when I start experimenting, I'll put my results up on here if there is any success. Full of pics, of course. Maybe you'll take heart and try it yourself. I just wanna know, is there any paint left under all that rust? Leon, how many cans do you have?
There is more of them under there but I am getting paid to hunt these i have to sneak . I seen several but I ain't sure if I can get too them . also at lunch I climbed over a gate and went looking we parked beside a posted sign and walked in lol.
I pay good money for rare beer cans in good shape. If you find me a Tringle Beer or ABC old english Ale I'll give you $1,000 each. Is that Incentive? LEON.
