I hadn't planed on digging today,to hot and humid,plus I had weed whacking to do. But a guy I met through my web site text ed me and wanted to go digging,so I said ahhhh what the hell and went.
He has a dump behind his house.At first I thought it was a small house dump but it turns out it is a huge un touched city/town dump. It is all virgin. The age of the dump is really to new for my blood but it is cool to see the new bottle digger get excited over glass! That's what its all about. The stuff he goes nuts over I dug tons of. Its that "new found thrill" of digging old bottles that I saw today.It reminded me of me when I was 15 digging milk bottle dumps. This guy (Neal) is 25,he only dug a few times but the guy can move a lot of dirt! Just the kind of guy I need around. Rule of thumb always hook up with younger digging partners. When you (me) burn out,your back hurts, you come to a slow crawl in the heat,they keep going!

I estimate the dump dates around late 1890s to 1930 but there are some cool late throws to be found and it is easy to dig. it is only 4 foot deep but covers a lot of ground. There is some thing "rare" hiding in there somewhere.
