heres a quick pic of some bottles my patner and I dug this weekend. We finished digging and sifting an old cellar hole that was used as a dump...many bottles and artifacts were recovered...heres a pic of a few.

[:)] Congratulations Matty, the artifacts that you found are rather interesting. I have never yet come across a complete clay pipe, nor have I found any rings in all my digging days.

You have done well.

Matt - Good diggins! That clay pipe looks VERY old to me - isnt there some rule of thumb about the bigger the angle the older ? - Pontiled ?

The Clay pipe has writing on both sides and probably dates to the 1840's or earlier...here are some closeup pics of the pipe for your viewing pleasure[;)]pipe pic
