this is my other flea market find and I haven't heard yet anything about this bottle. I am curious about it. It is pictured in flea market 2 and 3. it is a brown bottle with cursive writing of westrobac and then underneath the pure culture bacterium. I want to know more about it. anyone know?
thanks for all your help so far. i am new to this and love this forum. People are nice and helpful.

While I am not sure, and this is just a somewhat educated guess, I suspect that this bottle was used in the dairy industry, possibly for cheese or sour cream production, or for yogurt production. If I remember right, bacteria are used in some of these processes. Look on yogurt containers, many will say "cultured", or they will say that it contains "active cultures".
Only a guess though.....

I just did a google on "westrobac" and found that it was a bacteria put into the soil by farmers to improve their fruit production. Advertisement-related hits date it to around 1915. Thanks for inspiring me to learn something else!
