hard to tell with the pics, but I would go with your initial impression, the color is wrong, and the lip is to fat, does it have a pontil? probably a solid glass one I'd assume... looks to be a Vientiane piece, oil cruet, made in the 60's 70', (19 that is)

I cant tell from the seal photo if its molded or applied. How tall is it?

these are the only photos I have & they are on paper, I had to scan them. I believe it's about 7" tall, kickup base, light wear. Thanks

doesnt look like a bottle, appears to be a wine carafe. Interesting seal. It seems to be fairly well made and could be old.
