Howdy Ryan,

That looks like a syringe plunger to me. Do I detect a lavender hue to it?

That looks like it was a nice dig. What all didya find, if I may ask?

It's definately a syringe plunger. Here's one after I broke it. Top picture shows pretty much how it came out of the ground. Bottom pic shows what it looks like apart. The glass was super thin almost like a light bulb. I guess that it had rubber to make the plunger fit snugly in the glass. This one dates to the TOC era and is pretty crude. Wish I had't broken it but at least I identified it.

I found another glass syringe with a broken green plunger this time. This glass syringe was just like the one I found and broke earlier so it was nice to replace it. Not much value here but still a neat item to identify.

Hello guys,

Do any of your plungers have embossing on top of the plunger, where the plunger meets the thumb? Letters, numbers? I recently found an amber syringe with a metal plunger. I know diddly about syringes, but always liked finding them.

Do any of y'all know about syringes, or have colorful examples or stories?
