A friend of mine found this bottle under his family home in Ennis, TX (south of Dallas). The home was built in 1902.

The bottle doesn't have a seam, nor does it have any markings on it that I can see. It measures slightly over 10 inches tall, and the base is 4 1/2 inches in diameter.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Tim

Hey T, I got one thats 14" tall and 5" wide that looks identical to yours. It was dug up behind an old pharmacy site and was used for bulk meds.

Thanks Warren.

Any idea what years bottles like these were made? Any value to them?

Thanks again,

Tim

Hey Tim, You don't see them very often and I haven't seen one sold on Ebay or anything. Mines got a potstone and I still would not sell it .

They were used in the last part of the 1800s until the very early 1900s.

It is most likely a chemical bottle. It has seams , they may be hard to see with the oxydation. They were often 3 piece mold for the earlier ones in which case the seams will only extend up from the shoulders. There are a few other reasons the seams could be obscurred but they are there.
If they are not embossed they dont have a lot of value (unless they are pontil marked)
