what the heck is it?

Hi peoples,

Got this strange gizmo in a lot I bought. At the 'waistline' it says "fill to this line". But as you can see in the second picture, the top has a screw thread, like what you'd screw a bulb into on a lamp.

I say it's part of an old gas lamp; Dave says it's for making perfume (I don't wanna know why he knows that.)

What do you guys think it is?

hey Barbie, The hubby is right. [sm=lol.gif]Its a perfume atomizer minus the bulb. Like the ones movie stars used in the black and whites.

There is a thread in What is it? Before 1900 by slimdigger, titled Cone Ink? and dated 12/28/2005, on perfume atomizers.
