What the heck is this???!!!

Found this base. Looks to be milk glass. It has something that screws on to the top of it but don't know what it is. Looks like a lamp base but could be for candles...or something else. Pic of underneath to follow.

Any info/guesses greatly appreciated.

I like lamp base too. But I wouldn't be surprised if someone knew better.

I'm starting to think not a lamp base, at lease not electric. There's no hole for the wires to go into the base through.

100% lamp base, most likely an Oil Lamp...

If you do an E-Bay search for "oil lamp font" you'll find a nice top for it, and you can display it and use it if you like....
